Jerry Jones reacts to horrifying ending to Cowboys/49ers playoff game
The Jerry certainly isn't happy. We don't blame him.
The Super Bowl drought for the Dallas Cowboys has continued this afternoon with a loss in the NFL Wild Card round to the San Francisco 49ers at AT&T Stadium; the 49ers move on to play the Green Bay Packers next week.
Of course, Dallas did themselves no favors by committing 14 penalties, the most in franchise history, which cost them a total of 84 yards during the course of the afternoon.
The Cowboys were able to mount a heroic comeback effort in the waning minutes of the game, which literally came down to the final seconds. The Cowboys were unable to snap the ball thanks to one of the on-field officials literally getting in the way, leading lead official Alex Kemp to soon declare the game over.
Afterwards, team owner and general manager Jerry Jones voiced his frustration.
“Extraordinarily disappointed. Very disappointed. Disappointed for our fans," he said. "This is quite a letdown.”
