Jerry Jones reacts to terrible game from Terence Steele

It was not the best of games for Dallas Cowboys right tackle Terence Steele against the Philadelphia Eagles, as he allowed 12 quarterback pressures. In fact, it's part of a growing downward trend.
According Pro Football Focus, the 28 total pressures that Steele has allowed this year are the most of any player in the NFL at his position. Meanwhile, the seven sacks allowed trails only Tennessee’s Andre Dillard's nine.
However, if you're looking for team owner and general manager Jerry Jones to trash Steele, think again. While speaking on 105.3 The Fan, Jones expressed full confidence in Steele moving forward.
“We got a lot of confidence in Steele,” Jones said. “That was a pretty impactful situation we had there with the pressures [against the Eagles]. But we can do better there. We can do better with help there as well.”
“He’s, like he always does, very consistent, he’s one of our hardest workers,” Jones continued. “I anticipate he’ll respond come Sunday, too. He’s had a good week [of practice].”
Expectations are understandably high for Steele this season, as he agreed to a hefty contract extension with the Cowboys worth $86.8 million. Dallas is also showing high faith in Steele after he recovered from having suffered a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee last season.
Steele is in his 4th season with the Cowboys after they signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech in 2020. Can he rebound this weekend as Dallas hosts the New York Giants at AT&T Stadium?
