It's no secret that the Dallas Cowboys are still searching for their elusive 1st Super Bowl win since the mid-1990's, and team owner and general manager Jerry Jones knows that the clock is ticking for him personally.
And the collective eyebrows of just about everyone were raised a mile high with how Jones described winning the Super Bowl would be, especially in the wake of the Texas Rangers winning the World Series for the first time in franchise history.
"The rough times that you have with sports, you can’t really play unless you have some hard times,” Jones began. ‘But it is the absolute glory hole to have that elusive win to be the champion."
"And I’m so proud for every (Texas Rangers) fan that is out here, that is headed that way. And the ones that are at home. I’m proud for every one of them."
Of course, most adults should know the meaning of that term, and it's not something we advise anyone to go searching for while at work or around family or kids.
‘Obviously there are a lot of hard days, a lot of days that didn’t go your way,’ Jones said. ‘But I’ve always known that given a chance, there are million and millions of people that would like to be in your shoes.’
Additionally, this isn't the first time that Jones has used the term.
‘I’ve been here when it was glory hole days and I’ve been here when it wasn’t,’ Jones said 11 years ago. ‘Having said that, I want me some glory hole.’
Never change, Jerry!
