JUST IN: Broncos name several new coaches
They're coming aboard in Denver.
The Football Feed
The Denver Broncos have already made a major move this offseason, bringing in former Super Bowl winning head coach Sean Payton. He'll be tasked with helping turn around a Broncos team that came into last season with major expectations, especially with new quarterback Russell Wilson under center; instead, the 2022 campaign was anything but smooth sailing for Denver, who struggled with a 5-12 record, dead last in the AFC West division.
And now, they've announced a new offensive coordinator, who has already worked with Payton while together with the Saints. It will be 51 year old Joe Lombardi who serves as the new OC in the Rocky Mountains. Meanwhile, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the team has also hired Vance Joseph as Defensive Coordinator, Mike Westhoff as Assistant Head Coach and Ben Kotwica as Special Teams Coordinator.
Lombardi previously served offensive assistant and then quarterbacks coach from 2007-2013 under Payton with the Saints.
