The reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will have a new offensive coordinator next season.

Eric Bieniemy has officially accepted the same role with the Washington Commanders, departing Kansas City after five seasons - each of which he worked with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He replaces Scott Turner, whom the Commanders fired earlier this year.

The news was first reported by Tom Pelissero.

Bieniemy will be tasked with helping to bring back to life the Washington offense that finished 24th overall in points scored and 20th in total yards during the 2022 NFL season.
