Steelers QB Kenny Pickett officially undergoes surgery
He's going to miss the next several weeks.

The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered more than one loss yesterday, as they also lost starting quarterback Kenny Pickett to injury; he did not return to their game against the Arizona Cardinals and was replaced by Mitchell Trubisky.
Pickett underwent surgery on his ankle earlier today, and it's been confirmed that he will be forced to miss at least the next few weeks. Meanwhile, it will be Trubisky who gets the start for the Steelers in their next game against the struggling New England Patriot on Thursday night.
It will be Mason Rudolph serving as backup to Trubisky against New England.
"He gets the most work," Tomlin said, explaining the decision to start Trubisky over Rudolph. "You can't give work to three guys, to be quite honest with you. Most of Mason Rudolph's work comes on a scout team offense and so Mitch has been positioned to get the work."
However, Tomlin doesn't think that Pickett's injury history is something to be overly concerned about.
"He was managing that ankle prior to yesterday," Tomlin said. "I think it was listed on the injury report every day last week and so it got aggravated, and we just did what was necessary in terms of addressing it.
"I don't know that we're viewing it as something that's chronic, particularly with something like an ankle injury, and so we're just dealing with this on a case-by-case basis as we sit here right now."
The Steelers take on the Patriots this Thursday at Acrisure Stadium, where they will look to improve their record to 8-5.
