There's no doubt about it, Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada is one of the most maligned coaches in the National Football League today. The inept Steelers offense was on full display yesterday afternoon in their loss against the Houston Texans, who had a 1-2 record coming into their matchup.
When it was all said and done, the Steelers managed a mere six points on the scoreboard as they fell back to the .500 mark at 2-2. Oh, and there's the fact that quarterback Kenny Pickett was injured during the game and did not return, leaving the starting responsibilities to Mitchell Trubisky.
Prior to the game yesterday, Canada made a rather telling admission that still had fans and pundits surprised - he admitted that his offense isn't exactly suited for making comeback efforts.
Following the embarrassing loss, head coach Mike Tomlin said that "hell yes" there were going to be changes, though he didn't specifically say what those changes would be. Many are speculating that he may have finally been swayed in the direction that the fan base wants - that a change in the position of offensive coordinator is needed if the team is to achieve anything of significance this season.
Just how much longer does Canada have to preside over the Steelers inept offense before a significant move is made?
