Mike McCarthy sends shoutout to Aaron Rodgers
The former Packers coach is speaking out.

The worst has been confirmed for New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who lasted only four plays Monday night in his debut at MetLife Stadium against the Buffalo Bills.
An MRI revealed Rodgers has in fact suffered a torn Achilles, and his season is over. Additionally, there is also the real possibility that his NFL career could be over.
And now, his former head coach in Mike McCarthy, currently in the same role with the Dallas Cowboys, is offering his take on the situation. The Cowboys host the Jets this Sunday in what will be their home opener at AT&T Stadium, but instead of facing Rodgers, they'll instead be facing quarterback Zach Wilson, who was thrust into action Monday night following the injury.
“I was looking forward to seeing him this weekend… We’re all feeling for him personally right now," McCarthy said.
"I think like everyone, you're hoping it wasn't serious," he said. "It reminded me of a play in 2018 against the Bears early in the game; they told me on the head set that he was done for the year with a fracture in his knee joint. He came out at halftime and threw for three touchdowns and won the game, and played the rest of the year. That's what I was hoping was going to happen. I feel terrible for him."
McCarthy and the Cowboys will take on the Packers starting at 4:25 PM EST.
