The Dallas Cowboys have lost Trevon Diggs for the remainder of the 2023 NFL season after he tore his ACL in practice. Needless to say, it’s a big setback for the Cowboys, who are 2-0 so far.
For head coach Mike McCarthy, he spelled it out in no uncertain terms, calling it a gut punch but also saying that it’s an opportunity for others to step up.
"It's definitely a punch in the gut for our football team, but this is an opportunity for our defensive depth to step up and continue to move forward.”
”It makes you sick when you see one of your guys through this."
McCarthy also stated that the injury occurred on a routine play and that it could have happened to anybody.
How will the Cowboys overcome the loss of one of their key players moving forward?
