The Pittsburgh Steelers continue preparations for their Week 1 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals at the recently re-named Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati this weekend, and it's already been decided by head coach Mike Tomlin that quarterback Mitchell Trubisky will be getting the start over the likes of Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph.

Of course, there was a "clerical error" when it came time to release the quarterback depth chart that has since been remedied, with Pickett taking the No. 2 slot ahead of Rudolph.

For Trubisky, earning the starting role for his team's opening game is, in his own words, "huge".

"It's going to be huge," said Trubisky. "It's something I looked forward to, something I've worked for. I'm just grateful for the opportunity and I'm going to take full advantage."

Trubisky stated that he was informed of his having won the job last week.

"They let us know last week so we had a heads up," said Trubisky. "I was kind of anticipating that and just excited for the opportunity. And now we prepare. Get ready to go."

"I had a really good camp," he continued. "I came in here with a lot of experience, showed I could lead the team. Showed I've been playing really well, throwing the football really well. Now we go out there and execute on the field."

Trubisky and the Steelers take on the Bengals this Sunday, with kickoff slated for 1:00 PM EST.
