The Dallas Cowboys have wrapped up their training camp in Oxnard, California - but residents in the area who are right next to where the camp took place are still unhappy with the tent-like platform that was built inches from their properties without notice.
“It won’t be a moment too soon,” said Michelle Payne said of the large tent-like structure being removed.
Cutbill and Andy Quan, the former of whom was seen burning Cowboys merchandise in his grill as a response, had this to say about the situation:
“The Cowboys have traditionally been a great neighbor,” Quan said. “In the past, we’ve always gotten along. We knew when we moved here there would be noise associated with training camp. That wasn’t an issue. But this has been a totally different situation. They have really showed poor faith in being good neighbors. I’m just excited to have them gone. ... I hope that next year they come out with a different approach.”
“You feel like you’re in a prison,” Francine Stupar said. “I feel like I’m under the bleachers.”
“We can’t even see the golf course,” another resident said. “It’s depressing.”
A Cowboys spokesperson has responded by saying that the city approved all of their plans and that the white tarp was added to the structure in order to aid in privacy. But that didn't stop residents from being upset about the situation.
