Report: Jimmy Garoppolo could potentially be dealt to AFC North

Could Jimmy G. be on his way to central Ohio? Don't be surprised to see it happen, according to a recent report.

Of course, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback has seen his name in plenty of trade rumors in recent months, and given the uncertain situation the Cleveland Browns are facing with Deshaun Watson, Garoppolo could be a good fit. Take a look at what Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus had to say: 

"Depending on what happens with Deshaun Watson, the most logical destination for Jimmy Garoppolo could be the Cleveland Browns. I’ve written about it before, but if Watson is suspended a full season, then his contract will toll, and it would become at least more reasonable for Cleveland to acquire another quarterback who will give them a chance to be more competitive than if Jacoby Brissett starts in 2022."

"If Watson isn’t suspended, or if the Browns don’t want to go through the rigmarole of trading Case Keenum and Baker Mayfield, signing Brissett and trading for Watson and Garoppolo in one offseason (understandable), then Garoppolo isn’t left with a ton of suitors."

The 30-year-old Garoppolo has racked up 11,852 total yards over the course of his career spent with the New England Patriots and 49ers while posting a 33-14 record. He's also entering the final year of his current five year, $137.5 million deal.
