Steelers announce sudden practice cancellation
An interesting call by the Steelers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are continuing their preparations for the upcoming 2023 NFL season, but they raised a few eyebrows with today's news that practice was cancelled.
Instead, the team will be engaged in a team-building event. And this could serve as some well-deserved time off for the team after they've wrapped up grueling practices as well as three preseason games.
“It’s a really good opportunity for the (assistant) coaches to troubleshoot some technical issues that may have been dogging them, some situational awareness, teaching and learning,” Tomlin said Saturday via Steelers.com. “We’re doing a lot of situational ball in an effort to tie up some circumstances that maybe we hadn’t put them in enough.”
Additionally, there will be several players cut from the roster later this week, as NFL teams will be required to get down to the 53-man roster.
The Steelers open the regular season on Sunday, September 10 at Acrisure Stadium when they host the San Francisco 49ers.
