As if losing to the hapless New England Patriots wasn't bad enough, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been dealt an additional blow that is pouring some salt in the wounds.
Star linebacker T.J. Watt has been placed into concussion protocol by the team after he reported to the training facility on Friday exhibiting symptoms; he'll need clearance from a neurologist in order to be able to return to game action.
This may have been the play that resulted in Watt's injury on Thursday night:
Watt, the 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, has amassed a total of 37 solo tackles along with 14 sacks, three forced fumbles and one interception so far in 2023.
