TJ Watt sounds off on importance of tonight's game
He's laying it on the line.

Needless to say, tonight's Christmas Eve tilt tonight in downtown Pittsburgh carries major implications for the host Steelers as they look to continue their quest toward a playoff berth. Of course, it comes on the heels of the tragic passing of Steelers legend Franco Harris, who died earlier this week at 72 years of age shortly before the team was set to retire his jersey number.
Prior to tonight's game, the Steelers held a public viewing of Harris in order for fans to be able to pay their last respects. But afterward, there is still business to attend to on the field. The Steelers host the Raiders, and are in a must-win situation if they have any intention of keeping head coach Mike Tomlin's streak of non-losing seasons intact.
Take a look at what reigning Defensive Player of the Year TJ Watt had to say about tonight's tilt:
“This was a huge game before the news of Franco’s passing even hit, now it’s ramped up more,” Watt said. “I think we’re going to see the impact that he had on people when the fans show up and show the appreciation for all that he’s done for Steeler Nation.”
The game will begin later this evening at 8:15 PM EST.
