Tom Brady's response to Gronk's retirement has fans talking!
Is Gronk's career really over?
Former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski officially decided to call it a career on Tuesday, as he announced his retirement from the National Football League in a lengthy post on his social media account.
However, according to Gronkowski's agent, don't be surprised to see Gronk be convinced by long-time teammate Tom Brady to return to action at some point in 2022.
"It would not surprise me if Tom Brady calls him during the season to come back and Rob answers the call," Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter. "This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't be surprised if Rob comes back during the season or next season."
And Brady himself decided to weigh in on his longtime teammate's decision, posting a not-so-subtle response to Rosenhaus' comment on Twitter:
It was Brady who convinced Gronkowski to "unretire" in 2020 and join the Bucs, where they teamed up to win Super Bowl LV. Will the two of them make one more go of it later this year?
