Trey Lance’s true nature comes out after trade to Cowboys
This is telling!

By now, you've surely heard the news that the San Francisco 49ers have traded quarterback Trey Lance to the Dallas Cowboys. The former Round 1 draft selection will now have a chance to get a fresh start with the Cowboys, and will be competing for the backup role behind starter Dak Prescott.
The move also is some extra insurance for the Cowboys, should Prescott once again suffer an injury like he did last season that kept him out of action for several games.
And according to a recently released report, Lance's true nature came out shortly after the deal when he was said to have approached 49ers general manager John Lynch to apologize for things having not worked out the way that he or the team envisioned.
Prior to the trade, Lynch indicated that Lance handled being informed that he was beaten out for the backup role behind Brock Purdy by Sam Darnold "incredibly well".
"Trey handled it incredibly well, with class," Lynch said on KNBR's "Murph & Mac" Thursday morning. "He was devastated and rightly so. When you put your heart and soul into something and it doesn't come to fruition you're going to be devastated and that's the type of competitor he is."
It definitely looks as though the Cowboys are getting a high character individual into their lineup, and that only serves as a good thing.
