We've only played one preseason game so far, but one member of the Green Bay Packers has seen his season end before it officially began.
During last night's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, tight end Tyler Davis was carted off the field after suffering an injury. Upon examination, the injury was revealed to be a torn ACL, meaning that he'll miss the entire 2023 NFL season.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was clearly bothered by the injury when talking about the game afterward.
"My heart hurts for him," LaFleur said.
He's caught eight passes for 61 yards and a touchdown in 31 games played with the Packers since coming over from the Jacksonville Jaguars, who drafted him in the 6th round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
