Pittsburgh Steelers lose TJ Watt to COVID-19 reserve list
The bad news continues.
Well, the bad news continues for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Already reeling from yesterday's blowout 41-10 loss at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals, they've now lost linebacker TJ Watt as he's been placed on the COVID-19 list.
This marks the 3rd time this season that a big name has been placed on the list, following Ben Roethlisberger and Minkah Fitzpatrick. In nine games started this season for the Steelers, Watt has recorded 12.5 sacks, four passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Of course, Watt was particularly critical of himself and the rest of his team following yesterday's loss, calling their effort "absolutely embarrassing"
“It wasn’t something any of us are proud of,” Watt said following yesterday's game. “You never want to have that feeling coming out of a game. We put it on tape and now we have to own it, move forward and know that everybody sees what just happened today and what we can expect moving forward. We have to stop this before it continues to unravel and become a bigger issue than what it already is. We can’t keep playing like this. It’s absolutely embarrassing."
The Steelers are gearing up for a divisional foe next Sunday as they'll host the Baltimore Ravens at Heinz Field.
